General Description: Be part of the Eighth annual Tuff Tornado Run! Run or walk, climb and balance through the terrain with TWENTY-TWO amazing obstacles. All levels of runners, walkers, and TEAMS are welcome to participate. This will take place rain or shine at Alameda Park on September 26, 2026, from 10 AM - 1 PM. Prepare to get dirty as you make your way towards the finish line to our mud pit, foam run and "car wash". Participants may stretch out to music from our DJ, Mark Buchek. Also, we have food trucks which will be available with a variety of food.
The Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization, is sponsoring this run. Proceeds will benefit students in the Butler Area School District through the Kids' Weekend Backpack Program, Creative Teaching Grants, much needed technology and other scholastic projects supporting our BASD students. Come join us for an afternoon of fun and fitness and to support our causes.
Pre-registration: Fee is $15 for ages 5-12, $20 for ages 13 and older and $50 for a family (up to six members of a single family). If you are signing up as a team, you will be able to do this at the registration site.
Shirts: Pre-register by Sunday, September 6th to get a free t-shirt. FINAL DATE-NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, there will be t-shirts for sale on race day.
Course: This is a two-mile run which includes twenty-two obstacles.
Packet Pickup: Packet Pickup can be done on Race Day starting at 9:00 AM.
Race Day On-Site Registration: Open from 9 AM – 12:30 PM. Cash or check payment only. Fee is $20 for ages 5-12, $25 for ages 13 and older, and $55 for a family (up to six members of a single family). If you are signing up with a team, everyone on your team must sign up at the same time.
Timing: This race will be chip timed by Miles of Smiles who utilizes premium, disposable bib chips.
Restrooms: Restrooms will be available throughout the park.
