Turnslack Fell Race

Turnslack Fell Race, an exhilarating BM Fell Race, invites runners to conquer its challenging terrain spanning 12.9 kilometers and ascending 610 meters. The race begins at 2:30 PM from the Stansfield Estate Playing Fields in Calderbrook, near Summit.
Participants should plan to carpool to the parking area due to limited space. Once on site, Race HQ is located at the convenient venue of Calderbrook Community Church (W3W: moons.launch.lush), where all necessary information will be available upon arrival. Runners are advised to bring their full Fell Running Association kit as required equipment for this event.
The race welcomes competitors aged 18 and over who are ready to tackle rugged trails and steep ascents unique to fell racing. Team prizes add an extra layer of excitement, with four male runners' times counting towards the team total and three female runners contributing theirs.
After crossing the finish line, athletes can refuel at refreshment stations set up in the Community Rooms within Calderbrook Church. The atmosphere is lively as participants gather for post-race festivities and a prize-giving ceremony that celebrates their achievements.
Those looking to challenge personal bests or take on the competition will find inspiration in existing records: Mark Marsden's men’s record of 1 hour, 01 minute, and 21 seconds set in 2018, and Michelle Laney’s women’s record from 2004 at a remarkable time of 1 hour, 17 minutes, and 25 seconds.
