TutHell 50K

TutHell 50K is an endurance challenge like no other, inviting runners from around the globe to tackle a unique and grueling course set against the backdrop of Tut Hill. The race unfolds over a meticulously marked loop that spans just under half a mile in length, with participants completing this circuitous journey a full hundred times. Each lap ascends 90 feet before descending an equal distance, demanding both physical prowess and mental fortitude.
The event's registration process is distinctive; entrants must submit an essay explaining their motivation for running TutHell to the race committee during the designated window from June 1st, 2026 through April 21st, 2027. Selected runners will then receive a personalized invitation allowing them to register on Ultrasignup.
TutHell is not just about personal achievement; it's also an opportunity for participants to give back to the community by pledging funds that will be split between two chosen charities of the male and female champions, with each charity receiving $5,000. This free-will donation model encourages runners to contribute generously while fostering a spirit of generosity among competitors.
The race atmosphere is one of camaraderie and mutual support, as participants are encouraged to bring along a support person who can assist them throughout the day's challenges. A fully stocked aid station awaits at the summit near the bathrooms and storm shelter, offering essential supplies for runners pushing through the long hours.

The terrain, marked clearly for navigation, features steep climbs and descents over grassy sections and single-track trails. The loop begins near the large tree at the hilltop's edge, winding down to a flat section before climbing back up via the right side of Tut Hill towards two small trees where runners turn left to return to their starting point.
