Tuusulanjärven Maraton

About the Event

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Tuusulanjärvi, the Tuusulanjärven Marathon invites runners to explore the tranquil beauty and rich history of Hyrylä and Jokela. This longstanding race, first organized in 1994, offers a scenic journey around the lake via its well-maintained pedestrian paths. The route winds through charming landscapes, passing by red-brick buildings that echo the area's garrison heritage.
Runners will also have the opportunity to visit Jean Sibelius’s home as they traverse along Tuusula Lake Road, adding cultural enrichment to their running experience. Both the half-marathon and marathon routes are officially measured, ensuring a fair and challenging course for all participants. The event is conveniently located near Helsinki with easy access via road or rail.
The race day atmosphere in Hyrylä and Jokela promises to be vibrant and welcoming, supported by ample parking facilities around the area. After crossing the finish line, runners can soak up the local charm at nearby attractions such as lovely pools that trace back to the region's brickyard history.
For those looking for a comfortable stay before or after the race, Krapihovi Oy in Tuusula offers convenient accommodation near Rantatie 2. Join us on April 24, 2027, and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Lake Tuusulanjärvi.
