About the Event

The Twente Smuggler's Trail, set to take place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, invites runners and hikers alike to explore the scenic countryside of Losser and Bad Bentheim. This charming trail race celebrates its eighth year with a variety of routes designed for all levels of experience.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- A challenging 27 km trail run
- An equally picturesque 22 km route
- A more moderate 14 km option
- A shorter, drop-off style 10 km course
For those preferring to walk or bringing the younger ones along, there are also two walking trails of 22 and 14 kilometers. Kids have their own fun with a special kids' trail: an 800-meter route for children aged 4-8 years old, and a slightly longer 1000-meter option for those between 9 to 12.
Registration opens online until October 25 at 23:59. After this date, late registration will be available starting Monday, October 26, with an increased fee of €2.50 per participant. Late registrants can sign up through the digital form provided by the race organizers until Sunday, November 1, at 10:00 AM.
