Twisted Pine Trail Runs

Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of Oregon's coast this fall with the highly anticipated Twisted Pine Run, set to take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026. This beloved race returns for its tenth anniversary at South Beach State Park in Newport, offering runners a unique blend of coastal charm and challenging terrain.
The event features three distinct distances: the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. Each course winds through the lush trails of South Beach State Park, weaving among shore pines and along the rugged coastline. The half marathon route adds an extra twist with approximately one mile of beach running alongside the Pacific Ocean, providing a stunning backdrop for runners to enjoy.
Participants in all three races will experience varied terrain that includes both forested paths and sandy stretches near the ocean. Conditions can range from dry trails perfect for swift runs to muddy pathways after recent rains. The coastal weather is known for its unpredictability, making each race day unique and memorable.
Race Day at South Beach State Park begins early on September 26th with packet pickup starting at 7:00 AM. Start times are scheduled as follows:
- Half Marathon: 8:30 AM
- 10K: 8:45 AM
- 5K: 9:00 AM
In addition to the race itself, runners will enjoy a range of amenities and perks. All participants receive a finisher medal upon crossing the line, while chip timing ensures accurate results displayed in real-time on your phone. Free professional photos capture the moment as you cross the finish, allowing you to relive this special day.
Post-race festivities include complimentary food for runners and an optional beer garden where friends can gather after completing their distances. Race shirts are available for purchase during registration if desired.
