Immerse yourself in the rugged terrain of Big Brother 10k and Baby Brother 5k, two challenging races that promise to test your endurance on both paved roads and dusty dirt tracks. Nestled within scenic landscapes, these events are a testament to Back2Basics Racing's commitment to providing runners with an authentic experience away from the glitz and glamour often associated with large-scale competitions.
The Big Brother 10k is not for the faint of heart, featuring nearly two thousand feet (1800') of elevation gain in a course that averages around an 11% grade. With sections exceeding a steep 15%, this race will push even seasoned runners to their limits. The majority of the route follows rough and uneven dirt roads, while about one quarter winds through paved surfaces for variety.
Participants can also tackle Baby Brother 5k, which offers its own unique set of challenges with nearly six hundred feet (570') of elevation change spread across a mix of two-wheel-drive dirt roads and pavement. This shorter distance still packs plenty of punch, providing runners with a taste of the Big Brother's terrain in a more manageable format.
