UA Family Weekend Fun Run

The Family Weekend Fun Run invites participants of all ages and abilities to join the University of Arizona community for an inclusive 5K run/walk on October 4, 2026. This event celebrates Wildcat spirit while supporting student wellness initiatives that enhance overall wellbeing and success.
Participants can enjoy a scenic route through the picturesque campus grounds, featuring lush green spaces and iconic landmarks like Old Main. The race is designed to be welcoming for runners of all skill levels, including those using wheelchairs or strollers. Leashed pets are also welcome to join in on the family-friendly fun.
Registration opens at 8:00 AM on October 4th at the University of Arizona Mall (East of Old Main), where participants can pick up their race packets and gear. Race day registration is available for those who haven't pre-registered, with costs being $45 for adults and $30 for children in the Kids Dash.
The event includes a variety of perks such as custom finisher's medals, dri-fit tech t-shirts, and age group awards for top three male and female runners in each category. Additionally, there will be a pre- and post-race "Runner’s Brunch" offering granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, and other refreshments.
Participants can look forward to real-time results and photos available on the StartLine Racing website or mobile app (Apple & Google Play). The race is chip-timed for accuracy. Race day packet pickup will also be offered from 4-7 PM on October 3rd at the UA Mall for those who prefer early access.
The event aims to foster a sense of community and inclusivity, making it an ideal occasion for families and friends to come together in support of student wellness programs. Join us for a day filled with camaraderie, scenic views, and meaningful contributions towards the wellbeing of University of Arizona students.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early on race morning to ensure ample time for registration and warm-up activities before the 9:00 AM start time for the 5K run/walk. The Kids Dash will begin shortly after at 9:05 AM, offering a half-mile untimed course specifically designed for younger runners.
Please note that there are no refunds due to weather or other circumstances; however, participants unable to attend can switch their entry to a virtual event by emailing info@startlineracing.com by October 1st.
