Nestled at the tip of Quebec’s Gaspésie region, the Ultra Trail Forillon offers runners an unforgettable adventure where sea and mountains meet. This fourth electrifying edition promises to captivate trail enthusiasts with its diverse range of courses set within the stunning Forillon National Park.
The event spans three days, offering a variety of distances for all levels of endurance and skill. Start your journey at Camping des Appalanches with a 55 km trek that ascends an impressive 1,900 meters in elevation. If you're seeking more challenge, head to Pointe à la Renommée for the grueling 110 km course with its daunting 3,400-meter ascent. For those who crave even greater distances, there's also a 160 km option that pushes limits with an astounding 5,350 meters of elevation gain.
For runners preferring more traditional trail formats, five additional routes cater to various skill levels: a 45 km course with 1,460 meters of ascent offers the thrill of ultra-distance without excessive strain. A 25 km route and its 900-meter climb provide a solid challenge, while shorter options include an exhilarating 15 km race, a scenic 11 km run, and a swift 6 km dash.
Ultra Trail Forillon also introduces stage races with the Trans Forillon (TF) series. The TF100 is the most demanding of these multi-day challenges, followed by the TF75, TF50, and TF25 for runners looking to balance endurance with scenic exploration over three days.
Beyond the trails, participants can immerse themselves in Gaspésie’s rich heritage and natural beauty. Forillon National Park invites you to unwind after your runs through a variety of activities like whale watching expeditions by boat or kayaking along picturesque coastlines. The Cap de l'Espoir Lighthouse is another must-visit landmark, offering breathtaking views from its historic site.
