Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Slovenia's VIPAVA VALLEY, where Alpine peaks meet Mediterranean charm and Karst landscapes stretch as far as the eye can see. This historic region, steeped in ancient history, once witnessed a pivotal battle between West Frankish commander Arbogast and Roman Emperor Theodosius I in 394 AD. In 2027, Centurion will embark on its next chapter with an adjusted distance of 100 kilometers, slightly shorter than the previous 110-kilometer route but no less challenging. Runners can expect to traverse the same rugged trails and experience the same indomitable spirit that has made this race a legendary trail-running adventure in Slovenia. As you lace up your shoes for Centurion, prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey through medieval villages where history whispers from every cobblestone street, past ancient castles perched atop hills, and alongside serene monasteries. The rolling vineyards will offer stunning vistas as you ascend and descend the valley's undulating terrain. From the towering Alps to the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea, each step on this course is a testament to the grandeur of nature and the enduring spirit of those who have fought here before. Embrace the challenge, soak in the scenery, and let Centurion transport you back through time as you run alongside some of Slovenia's most enchanting landscapes. Centurion 2027 promises an epic trail-running experience that will leave a lasting impression on every participant, blending historical intrigue with breathtaking natural beauty.
