The Wold Rangers Way Ultra invites runners to explore 52 kilometers of picturesque Yorkshire countryside, weaving through rolling hills and iconic dry valleys that characterize the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. Now in its sixth edition, this cherished local ultra has earned a reputation for being one of the most sought-after events in the region. Limited to just 200 participants each year, the race offers an intimate setting with all the necessary amenities: free parking at Field House Camping & Coffee Barn near Tibthorpe, excellent indoor checkpoints equipped with toilets and live tracking, and a unique finisher’s medal for every runner. A portion of entry fees goes towards supporting local charities. The route closely follows the Wold Rangers Way, leading runners through charming villages like Huggate, Fridaythorpe, Thixendale, Fimber, and Wetwang. These quaint spots offer glimpses into rural life while providing a sense of community along the course.
