About the Event

Bräkne-Hoby is set to transform into a trail running paradise this spring, hosting the inaugural edition of Bräkneåns dalgång 25K and Vildmarksleden races on May 8, 2027. The event features two challenging courses: the Vildmarksleden 100 Miles for ultra-distance runners and a more moderate but equally scenic option with the Vildmarksleden 50 Miles.
The trail runs wind through the picturesque landscapes surrounding Bräkne-Hoby, offering participants breathtaking views of rolling hills, dense forests, and serene lakes. The terrain is varied, providing both technical sections that test skill and endurance as well as smoother stretches where runners can enjoy a steady pace.
Adding to the excitement, Hoby Backyard Ultra 24 Hours will also take place on the same day, utilizing the established course from the previous year's event in spring 2026. This unique format challenges participants with repeated loops over a set distance until one runner emerges victorious after reaching their goal time or completing all laps.
The weekend promises to be an exhilarating celebration of trail running and community spirit as runners gather for these diverse events, each offering its own distinct challenge and reward within the stunning natural surroundings of Bräkne-Hoby.
