Up, Up & Away PJ 5k

The Wayland Balloon Fest is set to kick off its inaugural Up, Up & Away PJ 5K on Saturday, September 12th. This unique race not only promises an exhilarating run but also supports vital mental health initiatives aimed at suicide prevention.
Early risers can enjoy a special treat: a balloon launch and pajama party starting at 7:00 AM, setting the whimsical tone for the day ahead. The race itself begins promptly at 9:00 AM from the scenic grounds of Wayland Balloon Fest. Participants have the option to pick up their packets and register late on race morning starting at 7:30 AM.
The entry fee is $30, which includes a long-sleeve shirt, a finisher's medal, and a complimentary ticket for admission to the Wayland Balloon Fest that same day. Early bird runners who sign up by Monday, September 7th can secure their race shirts; those registering after this date may not receive one.
Awards will be given out to the top three male and female overall finishers as well as the first-place winners in each age group category: under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and those aged 70 and above. This race is a fantastic opportunity to lace up your running shoes in pajamas while contributing to an important cause.
