Valiant PT Holiday Cross Country Race & Reunion

Evanston Running Club and Valiant Physical Therapy welcome you to the ERC John Hennelly Public Cross Country Races at Lovelace Park in Evanston IL Sunday November 29, 2026. Online registration is available to the first 200 entrants through Friday October 24th.

Race will be held at 9:00 AM. The three-lap, 3.62-mile wheel-measured course is rich with hills, open fields and challenging terrain.

ENTRY FEES

ADULTS $25
RUNNERS AGES 14 AND UNDER $20
FAMILIES OF THREE OR MORE = $60

DONATIONS ARE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED AND GO DIRECTLY TOWARD RACE DAY OPERATING EXPENSES. ANY RACE PROCEEDS ABOVE $2150 ARE REGENERATIVE AND WILL GO TOWARDS FUNDING A FUTURE PUBLIC XC EVENT.

Cross Country races let runners compete on natural terrain in unpredictable fall weather conditions as teams or as individuals. The club’s 2021 and 2022 Canal Shores XC events were a big success and hosted competitors from all over the Chicago area as well as from out of state. Running crews, corporate, club, and school teams and runners of all ages are invited to form teams of 3 or more runners. Team size is unlimited.

AWARDS WILL BE POSTED ONLINE FOLLOWING THE EVENT. We will score individuals in the 9:30AM Open and 10:30 AM Masters races as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places as following:

Open Race: 14 and Under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39
Masters Race: 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89

Recognition will also go to: Top Teams, Fastest Family, Team with the Most Runners

RACES ARE HELD RAIN OR SHINE. IN THE EVENT OF LIGHTNING COURSE WILL BE CLOSED. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. ALTHOUGH DISCOURAGED, RACE DAY ENTRIES ARE $30 FOR ALL AGES; CASH OR CHECK PAYABLE TO: EVANSTON RUNNING CLUB.
