Join the community for the 23rd Annual Valley Road Run, an inspiring event that combines fitness with philanthropy. This year’s race offers both a 5K run and a 2-mile walk designed to raise funds and awareness for Breathing Room families facing cancer challenges. The scenic route winds through picturesque neighborhoods in Valley, providing runners and walkers with beautiful views of the area while they help make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Participants are encouraged to gather friends, form teams, or participate individually as part of their personal fundraising efforts. After crossing the finish line, stick around for the Finish Line Festival where local businesses and community partners set up booths offering resources, information, and support for families dealing with cancer. This vibrant celebration is a perfect opportunity to connect with others who share your commitment to making a positive impact in the Valley community. In addition to the race itself, there will be several options for pre-race bib pick-up as we approach event day. Race-day registration opens at 7:00 AM and ample parking is available at 1061 Rydal Road and 1057 Rydal Road; please avoid using the apartment building lot. To commemorate loved ones, participants can purchase dedication yard signs that will line the race course throughout the event, serving as a powerful reminder of why this run holds such significance. These tributes not only honor those affected by cancer but also inspire others to join in support and solidarity. Awards are presented to top finishers overall for both men and women, along with age-group winners ranging from 0–10 through 66+ years old. This recognition highlights the diverse participation across all ages while celebrating individual achievements within a supportive community atmosphere.
