About the Event

The Valley To the Sea Half Marathon 5K/10K – with spectacular views through the most beautiful setting in the world. It’s an entire event filled with competition and fun starting with the Half Marathon, 10k and 5k and ending when you cross the finish line at one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. All courses are beautiful with an ocean view to run/walk for. If that doesn’t motivate you to be in this event, nothing will. If you can't make it live with us, you can do it Virtual!! We will mail out your bib,medal and shirt.

Packet Pick-up: Friday the 12th from 3pm-5pm at the Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Kihei.

Parking: None at the sanctuary. You must park on the side streets off Sanctuary porperty. We suggest to get dropped off at the start on race day for the 5k/10k.

Shuttle Bus for the Half Marathon: 5:15am pick up at the Whale Sanctuary. This is for people who need a ride to the start line. Friends, family and ride share can also drop you off at the start line of the half marathon. NO CARS WILL BE ABLE TO PARK AT IAO NEEDLE AFTER THE RACE STARTS. ALL CARS MUST LEAVE.

About Kihei

Learn more about the host city, Kihei.

Kihei is a town on Maui's South Shore. Overrun by developers in the 1970s and 80s, it's now a jumble of hotels, condos, shops and houses. While lacking charm, Kihei makes amends in its functionality and location. The central location makes it easy to get to other parts of the island and Kihei is known to be one of the hottest places to stay on Maui (temperature-wise) because it doesn't get the breezes that other parts of the island get.
