About the Event

The Little City is hosting its 45th Annual

Vergennes Day Race

Saturday, August 22, 2025

Join us for:

Kids 1K Fun Run
5K Walk
5K, 10K or 15K Run

Medals

Each finisher will receive a medal

1st-3rd place in each age group for the 5K/10K/15K will also receive a medal

Age groups are: <14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 +

Registration

Sign up online by Thursday, August 21st by 11:59 pm

Registration in-person on race day will incur a $5 fee increase.

Students age 5-17 racing in the 5K register for $20 instead of $35.

Race Start Times

The Kids Fun Run begins at 8:15am.

The 15K begins at 8:30 a.m.

The 5K walk, 5K run, and 10K begin at 9:00 a.m.

About Vergennes

Vergennes is a city located in the northwest quadrant of Addison County, Vermont, United States. The municipality is bordered by the towns of Ferrisburgh, Panton, and Waltham. As of the 2020 census, its population was 2,553. It is the smallest of Vermont's 10 cities in terms of population, though the city of Winooski has the smallest area. It was the first city chartered in the state of Vermont and is the only city in Addison County.
