Discover the unique Castle Relay Adventure, an engaging non-competitive event that invites runners and cyclists to explore three historic castles nestled near our region. This scenic journey covers a total distance of 73 kilometers, divided into four distinct stages ranging from 16 to 28 kilometers each.
The adventure begins at the imposing Castillo de Medellín, winds through the picturesque landscape surrounding it, and continues on to the charming Castillo de Magacela before finally reaching the historic Castillo de la Encomienda. The first two legs of this relay are run on foot along scenic paths that wind their way past rolling hills and dense forests, while the third stage takes place on mountain bikes (MTB) as participants navigate through challenging terrain. For the final leg, runners can choose to either continue on foot or switch back to MTB, depending on personal preference.
This event is designed for groups of friends and families who wish to enjoy a leisurely pace without worrying about competition or time constraints. Participants are encouraged to complete one or more stages at their own comfortable speed, fostering camaraderie as they make their way through the stunning countryside together. The route features 95% off-road trails and paths, offering an immersive experience of nature and history.
