Volunteer Check-In: All volunteers are invited to join us early on Wednesday, November 25, from 1:45 pm to 6:00 pm at the Onalaska Omni Center for check-in. This is your opportunity to receive necessary materials and ensure you're fully prepared for your role. Race Day Volunteer Opportunities: On Thanksgiving morning, volunteers will be needed starting as early as 5:45 am. A wide range of positions are available both inside and outside: - Inside roles include Registration, Packet Pick Up, and Information Booths. - Outdoor roles encompass Corner Monitor, Pumpkin Pie Handout, and other festive tasks. Your choice of role allows you to stay warm indoors or enjoy the crisp autumn air while contributing to a vibrant community event. Whether you prefer an active day outdoors or a more relaxed indoor position, there's something for everyone! Special Thanks: As a token of our appreciation, all volunteers will receive a complimentary Festival Foods Turkey Trot t-shirt. This gift is just one way we recognize your commitment and hard work. Preparation Notes: Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled start time to allow ample time for check-in procedures. This ensures you can efficiently complete the necessary steps such as receiving your volunteer shirt, understanding your role, and getting ready to make a difference on race day. Parking Information: To ensure smooth access to the event site, we have designated several parking areas: - Onalaska Omni Center (Riders Club Road) - Onalaska Aquatic Center (Riders Club Road) - First Free Church (Mason Street) - R.W. Houser Family YMCA (Mason Street) - Onalaska School District Omni Center Athletic Fields (East Ave N) Please note that Riders Club Road will be open west of the Onalaska Omni Center, accessible only to those traveling from Highway 35. The road will remain closed east of the Omni Center to East Avenue North. Join us in celebrating Thanksgiving with a spirit of community and volunteerism!
