About the Event

Thank you for joining us as a volunteer at the Festival Foods Turkey Trot! Your support is invaluable, and we are grateful to have your help making this community celebration possible. The festival venue offers both indoor and outdoor opportunities depending on your preferences.
For Wednesday volunteers, check-in will take place from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm. On Thanksgiving morning, you can join us starting at 6:00 am until 10:00 am. Whether you enjoy the outdoors as a Corner Monitor or prefer staying warm inside with tasks like Registration and Packet Pick-Up, there’s a role that suits your interests.
For those choosing to volunteer outside on Wednesday, we have an exciting surprise just for you! Your dedication will be rewarded with a special gift designed exclusively for our volunteers.
On Thanksgiving morning, the festival atmosphere is vibrant as participants gather early to enjoy the event. Volunteers play crucial roles in ensuring everything runs smoothly from registration to handing out pumpkin pies and monitoring various areas.
All volunteers receive a complimentary Festival Foods Turkey Trot t-shirt, symbolizing your contribution to this community event. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your assigned start time to ensure you have ample time for check-in, receiving the volunteer shirt, and getting an overview of your responsibilities. Your efforts will contribute significantly to making the day a memorable one for everyone involved.

About Marshfield

Learn more about the host city, Marshfield.

Marshfield, in North Central Wisconsin, was a thriving regional center for northwest Wisconsin in the late 19th century known as "Hub City" for all of the railroad tracks that converged there. It sported a bevy of German immigrants and a strong lumber trade. Not to be outdone by Chicago, it had its own conflagration in 1877 that burned down most of the town, then reemerged with more of a brick facade. Today, it is a little quieter but nonetheless known for the Marshfield Clinic, a big name in healthcare.
