Walk for WAIT House 2026

Join us on August 8, 2026, as the Walk for WAIT House transforms Glens Falls High School Track into an inspiring celebration of support and solidarity. This community-driven fundraising event aims to uplift youth facing homelessness through shelter, advocacy, and empowerment.
Located at 10 Quade Street in Glens Falls, NY, this walk offers more than just a physical journey; it's a heartfelt commitment to change lives. Participants will experience the joy of walking alongside fellow supporters while raising awareness for WAIT House, an organization dedicated to providing safe haven and critical services to homeless youth aged 16-24.
WAIT House stands as a beacon of hope in Warren and Washington counties, offering essential support through its emergency shelter, peer mentoring programs, transitional housing initiatives, and resourceful community partnerships. Every step taken during the walk contributes directly to these vital services, fostering stability and independence for those who need it most.
On race day, expect an inclusive atmosphere with games and prizes designed to engage youth and families alike. A visit from Coach's Corner Food Truck will add a delightful culinary twist, ensuring that everyone leaves feeling nourished both physically and spiritually.
For those unable to join in person, remote participation is available! Simply request your official event T-shirt and share photos of your support wherever you are. Your contribution makes a difference—every step counts towards ending youth homelessness.

T-shirt orders must be placed by this date; please email logos to tbeck@hycwaithouse.org (PNG preferred, JPG accepted). Shirts are available in standard men’s/unisex sizing—select with care for the best fit. Race day will see these T-shirts waiting at the event venue, ready to commemorate your contribution.
