Waugoshance Trail Run

The Waugoshance Trail Marathon, Half Marathon & Relay invites runners to explore the breathtaking wilderness of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. This annual event unfolds through Wilderness State Park, a sprawling 10,512-acre sanctuary teeming with diverse wildlife and lush greenery. Participants embark on a point-to-point journey that begins within the park’s boundaries and culminates in nearby Mackinaw City.
As runners navigate the winding trails of North Country Trail and other scenic routes, they are immersed in an environment rich with American black bears, beavers, bobcats, otters, and mink. The race serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving natural habitats for these creatures to thrive.
