The event commences promptly at 7:00 AM in the enchanting Wellwood Park, nestled off Glenridge Crescent. As you gather under the morning sun, prepare for a welcoming atmosphere where families and fellow enthusiasts come together to support this significant cause. The park’s lush greenery offers serene trails with firm yet slightly soft surfaces that accommodate all paces.
Navigating through these scenic paths, participants will encounter an environment brimming with encouragement and camaraderie. The race concludes near the main entrance of Wellwood Park, providing a perfect spot for celebration or simply to admire the beauty of your surroundings.
Weather conditions on October 18 are expected to be mild and cool, with temperatures around 12°C and moderate humidity at approximately 74%. A gentle breeze of about 13 km/h may add some challenge but also enhance your experience. The event features three categories: adult and youth 5K Walk/Run/Wheel (clock timed) with fees set at CA$20 for adults and CA$15 for youths; and a free Kids' Best Effort 1K.
All races begin simultaneously at 8:00 AM from Wellwood Park, ensuring an exhilarating start to the day. Participants can collect their bibs at the Hamilton Community Centre from October 17 between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM or race morning between 5:30 AM to 6:45 AM.
