The series kicks off on June 28th at Jurien Bay Motorcycle Club and continues with stops at Geraldton Junior & Senior Motocross Club (July 12th), BSA & Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club (August 2nd), Southern Capes Motorcycle Club (August 23rd), and concludes at Coastal Park Motorcycle Club on September 6th. Each round offers a unique setting, from the rugged landscapes of Jurien Bay to the challenging terrain near Geraldton. Participants can enjoy camping facilities at all rounds, with limited amenities provided by each club. Safety is paramount; first aid personnel will be present throughout the events, and riders are advised to have current ambulance cover and personal health insurance. The series caters to a wide range of classes, including 150cc Division 2 (ages 5-9), 385cc Junior 2-str & 150cc 4-stroke (ages 9-12), 3b85cc Senior 2-str & 150cc 4-stroke (ages 12-16), and various MX1, MX2, Vets, Masters, and Ladies categories. Each class is designed to provide a competitive yet fair environment for riders of similar ability. Electric bikes are permitted but must adhere to specific power limitations: up to 4kW for 50cc classes, 6kW for 65cc, 18kW for 85cc, and varying limits for MX1 and MX2 categories. Riders should ensure their electric bikes meet these requirements before entering. Entry is limited to two classes per rider; dual classing is available but incurs an additional fee of $450 for the series or $85 per round, with a booking fee included. Transponder hire fees apply at $10 per round, reducing to $40 if entered through Race Roster. Sign-on begins early each day from 5:30 am, followed by mandatory riders' briefings and practice sessions before racing commences around 7:15 am. Points are awarded based on finishing positions, with the top eight earning significant points towards overall series standings. The event concludes with a separate awards ceremony for the West Coast MX State Series, recognizing the best performers across all categories. Riders must ensure their bikes meet safety standards and display rider numbers clearly to facilitate accurate scoring. With a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol, participants are reminded of the strict rules governing behavior on-site. The series promises an unforgettable experience for riders looking to challenge themselves in some of Western Australia's most scenic locations.
