West Rouge Sports & Recreation Association Fun Run - 2026

Breathe in the fresh air of Port Union as you embark on an unforgettable running journey along the picturesque Waterfront Trail. The race begins at the scenic Port Union Waterfront Park, where runners will start their adventure westward alongside Lake Ontario’s tranquil waters.
After crossing the Waterfront Trail Bridge, participants turn north to follow Highland Creek trail through a lush and serene environment. At 2.5 kilometers into your run, you'll make a turnaround heading back towards the park's starting line. For those tackling the longer distance, this route is repeated for an additional lap before returning once more.
Two hydration stations are strategically placed along the way: one at both the start/finish and another right where runners complete their first loop, ensuring everyone stays refreshed throughout the race.
For parking convenience, participants can park free of charge in the west lot of Rouge Hill GO station located near Port Union Road. A short walk from there leads you directly to your starting point.
Runners will appreciate having access to washroom facilities at nearbyPort Union Village Commons Parkshould they need a quick break during their race day experience.
The event promises recognition for all who cross the finish line with awards given out based on gender and age categories, as well as special participant classifications.
