Each race promises a unique blend of lake swimming in Lake Windermere’s clear waters, cycling through scenic routes around Ambleside, and running along picturesque shorelines that offer both participants and spectators breathtaking views. The Novice Triathlon includes a 350m swim, a 20km cycle ride, and a run of 2.5 kilometers, while the Standard Triathlon offers more substantial challenges with distances of 1,500 meters for swimming, 48 kilometers on two wheels, and a final push over 10 kilometers. The event’s main hub is Cockshott Point in Bowness-on-Windermere, where athletes can enjoy easy access to amenities and convenient parking. The Transition Area here offers stunning views of the lake and ensures that all necessary safety measures are in place for participants’ convenience and peace of mind. Participants will benefit from live chip timing, provided by Timing Up North, guaranteeing accurate results throughout the weekend’s races.
