Wine Trail-Monviert

The Wine Trail, scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, invites trail runners to experience the beauty of Friuli's rolling hills and vineyards. This third annual edition promises an immersive journey through some of Italy’s most picturesque landscapes in autumn.
Participants will gather at Azienda Monviert on Strada di Spessa 8 in Cividale del Friuli (UD) for a day filled with scenic routes, local charm, and a vibrant atmosphere. The event offers two distinct running options:
The Wine Trail 14 KM is designed to challenge runners while celebrating the region’s natural beauty. Spanning approximately 14 kilometers, this route features an elevation gain of around 350-400 meters, offering breathtaking views and a rewarding experience for those seeking both physical exertion and scenic enjoyment.
For a more relaxed yet engaging day out, the Experience Trail 5 KM is ideal. This shorter course allows everyone to enjoy the event’s festive spirit by walking or running at their own pace without focusing on performance metrics.
Registration check-in begins at Azienda Monviert from 09:30 AM for both distances. The longer route starts promptly at 11:00 AM, followed shortly after with a start time of 11:20 AM for the shorter experience trail.
Throughout the Wine Trail 14 KM course, runners will find refreshment points strategically placed to keep them energized and hydrated as they traverse through vineyards and scenic byways. Upon crossing the finish line, all participants are invited to indulge in a final feast and join in the celebratory festivities that mark the conclusion of this memorable event.
The day’s activities include live music, food stalls offering local delicacies, and opportunities for socializing with fellow runners, supporters, and sponsors who have made the Wine Trail possible.
Registration fees cover an official bib number, race-specific swag packages tailored to each distance option, refreshments along both courses (for 14 KM), a final feast at the finish line, entry into event areas and activities throughout the day.
