WNC Flyer

The 22nd annual Hunter Subaru WNC Flyer takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, with a rolling start between 8:00 AM and 8:10 AM EDT from Oskar Blues Brewery Taproom (342 Mountain Industrial Drive, Brevard, North Carolina, USA). Organized by the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club as a fundraising event for cycling advocacy, this ride offers four distances (Century 100 miles, Metric 64 miles, Half Century 50 miles, and Half Metric 32 miles) that wind through the valleys south of Asheville, featuring beautiful mountain scenery around every bend without long mountain climbs.

Event Logistics and Packet Pickup:

• -- Packet Pickup (Saturday, June 6, 2026): Liberty Bicycles (Asheville location: 1378 Hendersonville Rd, Suite G, Asheville, NC 28803) from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
• -- Packet Pickup (Sunday, June 7, 2026 - Ride Day): Oskar Blues Brewery (342 Mountain Industrial Dr, Brevard, NC 28712) from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM.
• -- Pre-Event Shipping Option: Select the pre-event shipping option during online registration or through the Race Store to have ride numbers and socks shipped in advance. Packets ship approximately two weeks prior to the ride. Deadline to select this option is Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at midnight.
• -- Virtual Option: The VIRTUAL WNC Flyer allows participants to ride any distance anywhere convenient, with socks shipped free.
• -- Volunteer Opportunities: Community members can volunteer through the event platform.

Event Swag and Merchandise:

• -- Custom Socks: The first 800 registrants receive a pair of custom 2026 WNC Flyer Defeet socks.
• -- Commemorative Shirt: Bella Canvas WNC Flyer shirt available for purchase during registration or through the Store. Deadline: Sunday, May 17, 2026, at midnight. After that, shirts available in limited quantities and sizes.
• -- Ride Jersey and Bib Shorts: Order commemorative Blue Ridge Bicycle Club ride jersey and bib shorts by Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at midnight to have them in time for the ride.
• -- Included in Registration: Ride bib, socks (until sold out), one meal, and one beer.
