The WoidWetza features three main distance options: - 5 km+: Perfect for newcomers and casual enthusiasts looking to dip their toes into the world of trail running. With varied terrains including mud pits, rocks, and steep climbs, this course is designed to be both fun and challenging without requiring peak fitness levels. - 12 km+: For those who want more than just a taste of adventure. This route takes you through dense forests and along forest paths with sections that test your endurance as well as offer breathtaking views from the high trails. - 17 km+: The ultimate challenge for serious runners seeking an epic experience. Combining elements of both shorter courses, this distance includes more obstacles, technical passages, and longer ascents requiring strength, stamina, and skill to conquer successfully. Throughout each course, you'll encounter a variety of natural and artificial challenges that will test your limits while offering plenty of opportunities for fun and camaraderie. Regular aid stations are strategically placed along the routes to keep energy levels up as you push through demanding sections. For those who prefer team competition, minimum four-person teams can register in all distance categories. Teams registering together receive a €5 discount per participant—a great incentive to join forces with friends or colleagues for an unforgettable day out on the trails! Additionally, young adventurers aged 6-14 years old have their own exciting event: the Mini-WoidWetza. Tailored challenges like the WoidWichtl (~1km) and WoidPioniere (~2km), these mini-races are designed to be fun-filled with age-appropriate obstacles such as climbing, crawling, water crossings, foam pits, and balance tests. The race starts at Meierhof Leiben with different start times for each distance category.
