Discover the Woking Triathlon, an annual favorite among triathletes of all levels. The competition kicks off with a pool-based swim at the Freedom Leisure facility in Woking, featuring a 6-lane competitive swimming pool complete with spectator viewing areas. Swimmers will start using a snake-style entry method and are asked to provide an estimated swim time upon registration for seeding purposes. Once out of the water, participants transition into their cycling gear and head onto the open road course that runs through Woking towards Mayford. The bike route is flat and fast with minimal inclines, offering ideal conditions for speed enthusiasts. Athletes will complete one lap (for SuperSprint) or two laps (for Sprint distance) around a scenic circuit before returning to transition. The race concludes with a run in the picturesque surroundings of Woking Park, where runners can enjoy an 80% tarmac and 20% trail course on well-maintained paths. The lapped route provides numerous opportunities for spectators to cheer on participants as they pass through central park areas multiple times during their run. The Woking Triathlon welcomes both individual competitors and relay teams with various race options including Sprint, SuperSprint, Adult Aquathlon, and Junior Aquathlon categories designed specifically for young athletes aged 8-16. In addition to the thrilling competition, participants can look forward to complimentary event photos, a custom-designed medal upon completion of their respective distances, as well as snacks and refreshments at the finish line.
