Starting September 12-13 on the Oirat Tribe grounds in Bairin Bieli Township, Alxa Left Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia, this race offers 15K, 35K, and 50K distances. Registration opens March 21 at 9:00, first-come first-served, with early-bird pricing through April 5.
The 15K (400 runners, 14.2km actual, 215m gain) has a 4-hour cutoff; the 35K (600 runners, 37.1km, 310m gain) has a 10-hour cutoff; the 50K (500 runners, 51.47km, 690m gain) has a 13-hour cutoff.
A uniquely desert-set course in the XTERRA series, crossing rolling dune fields and knife-edge sand ridges for the feel of sailing through a sea of sand.
