XXI Carrera Popular de El Casar

The El Casar Race is set to take place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the Plaza de Toros de El Casar. The race offers runners two distance options: a challenging 10K and a more accessible 5K event.
For those choosing the longer route, the 10K course features two loops around the scenic town of El Casar. Competitors will experience varied terrain as they tackle this demanding yet rewarding journey through picturesque landscapes. The shorter option is equally engaging, with runners completing one loop on a carefully designed 5-kilometer track.
Both races are timed using electronic chips to ensure accurate results and provide participants with detailed performance data post-event. Registration for the race can be completed at the Polideportivo Municipal covered facility from 8:00 AM until 40 minutes before the start of the event.
Awards will be given out in various categories, including overall winners and age groups such as Senior (18-35 years), Veteran A (36-45 years), Veteran B (46-55 years), and Veteran C (over 56). Additional prizes are reserved for local residents competing in the Corredor Local category.
The race also includes non-competitive categories for younger participants, offering a fun introduction to running. These include Alevín (10-11 years old) with a distance of 2 kilometers, Benjamín (7-9 years old) covering 1 kilometer, and Prebenjamín (6 years and under) completing half a kilometer.
Participants can look forward to hydration stations at the halfway mark and upon crossing the finish line. The Polideportivo Municipal is available for post-race showers, allowing runners to freshen up after their efforts.
The El Casar Race is organized by Club Atletismo El Casar in collaboration with the Servicios Deportivos Municipales of the Ayuntamiento de El Casar, ensuring a well-organized and enjoyable event experience.
