(Year-End Last Run) Kyoto Otowayama Trail Run - Unaju Year-End Party (【年末走り納め】京都・音羽山トレイルラン｜うな重忘年会)

A gourmet trail run over Mount Otowa in Kyoto, meeting at Yamashina Station (JR and subway). The route leaves the city streets for the mountain, where a string of waterfalls lines the way. There are real climbs, tackled with walking and rests, then a long steep ascent to the summit, followed by an enjoyable downhill trail and a short road section.
Afterwards, those who want to join head to Kaneyo, a long-established eel restaurant founded in 1872, for its signature kinshi-don topped with fluffy omelet. Lunch costs about 3,200 yen for the kinshi-don up to roughly 3,800 yen, paid individually, with about 60 minutes allowed for the meal. Anyone skipping lunch can disband near JR Otsu Station, with a slightly shorter distance and earlier finish.
