Join us for an unforgettable running experience at Bluhm County Park on February 27, 2027! Located at 3855 S 1100 W, Westville, IN, this race offers runners a unique challenge with its four-loop course. Each loop is approximately 3.4 miles long, covering the scenic and varied terrain of Bluhm County Park.
Upon registration, participants will receive a limited-edition long sleeve cotton shirt along with one-size-fits-all winter accessories including gloves and a hat. These items are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t miss out!
The race kicks off at 8:00 am Central Time (Chicago time), with packet pick-up beginning at 7:15 am for early arrivals to secure their gear and familiarize themselves with the course. The event will take place outdoors in the Grove Shelter area of Bluhm County Park, which is home to multi-use trails west of the shelter.
Due to recent trail closures caused by a storm as of August 11, 2026, runners should expect some adjustments on race day regarding available routes within the park. However, rest assured that all necessary course markings will be in place using flags and signs along trees for clear guidance throughout your run.
Participants can look forward to one aid station situated at the shelter where water, Gatorade, and pre-packaged snacks will be provided. This convenient location allows runners easy access back to their cars or nearby bathrooms after each loop if additional supplies are needed during the race.
Upon completing all four loops within a 4 hour and 30 minute time limit, racers can celebrate their achievement at an informal post-race gathering where everyone who finishes will be able to choose from items on our prize table. These prizes include old race shirts, mugs, hats, and more.
The Crazy Legs Race Series (CLRS) aims to foster a welcoming environment for all participants by promoting non-pavement races across Northwest Indiana. Embracing diversity and inclusivity, CLRS welcomes individuals of any sexual orientation, biological sex, gender identity or expression.
We also take the time to acknowledge that our race takes place on land historically belonging to several indigenous nations including the Miami, Shawnee, Illinois Nations, as well as Lenape (Delaware) refugees who once called this area home.
