Even Splits York 5K races take place each month from February through November, setting up runners for an exhilarating journey around the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. Known for its flat and fast terrain, this circuit offers ideal conditions to push your limits and chase that elusive personal best.
Race day features state-of-the-art chip timing technology, ensuring precise results recognized by the English Athletics (EA) licensing body and visible on Power of 10. Participants receive their race splits via text message as they cross the finish line, with detailed kilometre split data published online shortly after for in-depth analysis. To top it off, every runner is rewarded with a chocolate bar at the end.
Whether you're looking to track your progress over time or engage in friendly competition against clubmates and rivals, Even Splits York 5K provides an ideal platform. The entry fee varies between £10 and £12 per race, but for those planning ahead, bulk purchases offer significant savings on both cost and convenience.
First-time participants are issued a unique race number embedded with a timing chip upon registration at the event. This number can also be used in Leeds 5K races. If you have an existing RED 5K race number from previous years (2020 to 2025), it's valid for use again in 2026, provided you include this information on your entry form.
All runners are entitled to a free replacement of their race number within a year. Any additional replacements will incur a £4 fee per transaction.
