YORKSHIRE TRAIL RUNS 2027 - HAREWOOD HOUSE

Nestled within the expansive grounds of Harewood House, Yorkshire’s premier trail running festival returns in 2027. Spanning over 1,000 acres of meticulously maintained gardens, woodlands, and farmland, this event offers runners a breathtaking journey through one of England's most cherished estates.
Harewood House stands as a beacon of historical beauty, situated just outside Leeds in the heart of Yorkshire. The estate’s vast landscape provides an ideal setting for trail enthusiasts to explore its diverse terrain, from lush greenery to serene lakeside paths. Runners often describe this event as one of their highlights due to the stunning scenery and challenging yet rewarding routes.
The 2027 edition features three distinct distances catering to runners at various stages in their journey:
- The 5km route (suitable for ages 11+) is an excellent introduction to trail running, offering a gentle start that showcases the beauty of Harewood’s surroundings.

- For those looking to step up their challenge, the 10km race (for runners aged 15 and above) offers a more substantial test with varied terrain and additional mileage.
- Finally, the half marathon distance (open to participants aged 17+) presents an early-season challenge for seasoned trail runners eager to push themselves in this picturesque setting.
All routes are designed to take full advantage of Harewood’s extensive grounds. Participants can expect a mix of trails through woodlands, along scenic paths, and across open fields, each offering unique views and experiences.
The event welcomes Canicross enthusiasts with special start times for both runners and their canine companions. Each runner is permitted one controlled dog to join them on the course.
Start times are scheduled as follows:
- 5km: 9:45am (Canicross), 9:50am (Non Canicross)

- 10km: 9:55am (Canicross), 10:00am (Non Canicross)
- Half Marathon: 10:25am (Canicross), 10:30am (Non Canicross)
Timing for the event will be provided by Timing Up North, ensuring accurate results and live updates.
Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a commemorative medal, exclusive merchandise from Wild Deer, as well as snacks and refreshments to help them recover. An optional event T-shirt can also be purchased during registration at £14.
Free parking is available on-site for convenience, allowing runners easy access to this scenic location.
