About the Event

Wensum Way Trail returns for its second year with two start times: 9AM and 11AM. The earlier start offers six hours to explore, while the later start provides four hours of adventure on this picturesque trail. Both options allow runners ample time to immerse themselves in the stunning landscape, challenge their limits, and earn a well-deserved reward at the finish line.
The route is a mix of tarmac paths, grasslands, and rugged trails that cater to those who crave variety and enjoy scenic runs through nature. Base camp features an aid station where runners can refill on water or grab snacks without carrying extra supplies throughout their journey. After crossing the finish line, participants are invited to relax with complimentary coffee and cake as they soak in the celebratory atmosphere.
All finishers will receive a custom-designed medal commemorating this unique event. For those interested, there's also an option for a "Lucky Dip" prize where you can choose from a selection of previous race medals, adding an element of surprise to your experience.

Breckland in Norfolk and Suffolk is a 39,433 hectare Breckland_Forest Special Protection Area (SPA) under the European Union Directive on the Conservation of Wild Birds. The SPA partly overlaps the 7,544 hectare Breckland Special Area of Conservation. As a landscape region it is an unusual natural habitat of England. It comprises the gorse-covered sandy heath that lies mostly in the south of the county of Norfolk but also in the north of Suffolk. An area of considerable interest for its unusual flora and fauna, it lies to the east of another unusual habitat, the Fens, and to the south west of the Broads. The typical tree of this area is the Scots pine. Breckland is one of the driest areas in England.
