Zombie Run 5K

Step into the heart of Pawhuska, Oklahoma on October 16, 2026, for an evening filled with excitement and adrenaline as you participate in the Zombie Run 5K. This thrilling race invites runners to navigate a scenic trail through local parks while dodging brain-hungry zombies lurking around every corner.
The event kicks off at 7:00 PM with a fun-filled one-mile run designed for all ages, followed by the main attraction starting at 8:00 PM—a timed 5K course that challenges participants to sprint their way through darkness and danger. The race is illuminated only by the light of your flashlight, adding an extra layer of suspense as you navigate winding paths.
Participants are encouraged to come dressed in creative costumes, transforming this spooky evening into a spectacular celebration of imagination and athleticism. Prizes await those who cross the finish line unscathed; age group awards will be given out for runners aged 5-12, 13-17, 18-28, 29-39, 40-49, and 50+.
Race day packet pickup begins at 6:00 PM near the Start/Finish area in the park behind Osage Nation Public Health's main building. Each runner will receive a drawstring bag filled with PHN swag items including a zombie-resistant t-shirt to wear during the race. Additionally, all participants are entered into a costume contest drawing for exciting prizes.
