The Race to Reimagine, hosted by the Abington Health Foundation Women’s Board, invites runners and walkers of all ages to come together at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center - Asplundh Cancer Pavilion in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. This event is not just a race but a celebration of community spirit and support for those facing cancer. Participants will gather on the morning of the race with warm-up activities beginning at 8:45 AM, followed by the start of the run at 9:00 AM. The course, certified by USTAF, winds through Willow Grove’s scenic streets before returning to the Cancer Pavilion where it all began. Walkers will follow shortly after runners have started their journey. The event promises a welcoming atmosphere for everyone—friends and family can cheer on participants from the sidelines or join in with strollers during the 5K run (strollers start at the back of the pack). Pets are also welcome, adding to the festive mood. A photo booth will be set up along with live music by a DJ and plenty of snacks for all attendees. Immediately after crossing the finish line, participants can look forward to light refreshments while enjoying the annual guest speaker event hosted by Asplundh Cancer Pavilion. The speakers provide insights into cancer care advancements and personal stories that inspire hope and resilience among those in attendance. Race awards will be presented at 9:45 AM for overall male and female winners as well as age group champions across various categories, ensuring recognition of runners' efforts from young to seasoned athletes. Long-sleeved t-shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered participants who sign up by October 1st, with sizes available on a first-come-first-served basis after this date. Join us in making a difference and supporting the mission of empowering cancer patients to improve their quality of life through community support and awareness. No matter what the weather brings—rain or shine—the Race to Reimagine will be an uplifting experience for all who participate. The event is designed not only as a run but also as a day filled with camaraderie, inspiration, and fun, making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.
