12th Annual Albany Police Department 5K Run/Walk for Domestic Violence Awareness

Runners and community members are invited to join the Albany Police Department and various Domestic Violence agencies for an inspiring 5K run/walk. This event aims to raise awareness about the significant impact of violence and abuse on individuals across all ages, genders, and backgrounds.
Participants will enjoy a scenic route through downtown Albany, offering runners and walkers alike the chance to experience the city's vibrant atmosphere while contributing to a meaningful cause. The race is designed for people of all fitness levels, with free parking available at designated lots near the starting line. Refreshments await everyone who crosses the finish line, ensuring that participants can celebrate their achievements together.
Among the highlights are custom-designed t-shirts given as gifts to the first 150 registrants and a cash-only raffle offering exciting prizes for those in attendance. Children aged 12 and under can join at no cost, while students between ages 13 and 22 pay $15 to participate. Adults wishing to take part will be charged a fee of $20; day-of-race registration is also available but costs $25.
