12th Asan Ginkgo Tree Road National Marathon

On November 8, 2026, runners from across Korea and beyond will gather at the Ginkgo Tree Road Plaza near Hyeonchungsa Shrine for the 12th edition of the Asan Ginkgo Tree Road National Marathon. This scenic race offers three distances: a Half Marathon, a 10km run, and a shorter 5km option.
The event kicks off at 9:00 AM with the Half Marathon leading the way, followed by the 10km runners ten minutes later and then another staggered start for the 5km participants. The race courses wind along picturesque riverside roads that follow the gentle curves of the Gokgyocheon Stream.
Participants will enjoy a unique blend of paved city streets and about 520 meters of unpaved terrain roughly two kilometers from the finish line, adding an extra layer of challenge to the run. Each runner is guaranteed a memorable experience with the lush greenery of ginkgo trees lining much of the route, creating a serene backdrop for this autumnal event.
Entry fees are set at KRW 40,000 per participant across all distances, and bibs will be mailed out approximately one week before race day. Race-day souvenirs such as Onyang Green Hat rice and commemorative medals await runners upon completion of their respective courses.
With limited spots available—700 for the Half Marathon, 1300 for the 10km event, and 500 for the 5km—the Asan Ginkgo Tree Road National Marathon promises a tightly-knit community atmosphere where every runner is celebrated.
