2026 Cacapon Enduro

About the Event

Welcome to the 2026 Cacapon Enduro, an exhilarating mountain biking challenge set amidst the stunning landscapes of Cacapon Resort State Park. This year marks the seventh edition of this event, which has become renowned for its technical terrain and scenic routes.
Registration closes on September 19 at 5 PM or when spots are filled up. No race-day registration will be available; therefore, all participants must pre-register by midnight on May 17 to secure their spot in what promises to be a fiercely competitive field of up to 250 racers.
The park offers an array of accommodations, including lodge rooms and cabins that provide the perfect respite after intense riding. For those planning to camp, there’s good news: the park superintendent has set aside a dedicated camping area at the swimming lake parking lot for this event. Camping will be available from Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 20.
The race itself is structured into five stages with over 35 miles of new trails designed to offer both technical challenges and flowing sections that promise endless fun. Stages are currently in flux due to ongoing trail building efforts funded by the event’s proceeds. The course will feature significant elevation gains, totaling more than 3,500 feet for U14 and Sport Class riders.

Race day begins early with parking and shuttling starting from 7 AM on Sunday, September 20. Racers should head to the Batt Picnic Shelter between 8 AM and 10 AM for chip pickup. The race will cut off at 3 PM; any racer crossing after this time will not be included in official results.
Prizes await winners of the Open class: cash rewards for top three finishers, with swag and bragging rights for all other classes. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the park offers amenities like the updated lodge complete with dining options. Cacapon Resort State Park is conveniently located just 30 minutes north of Winchester, Virginia; 15 minutes south of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia; and a short drive from Martinsburg. It serves as an ideal destination for mountain bikers coming from the DMV area or further.
