Explore Edmonton's vibrant trail network during Frank McNamara's Wednesday Night Spring Cross Country Running Series, set to enchant runners with its scenic routes through the city’s lush river valley and beyond. The series kicks off on March 15 at Emily Murphy Park, where participants will start their journey at precisely 6:00 PM under the watchful eyes of Frank McNamara himself. On April 12, head over to Kinsmen Park for a second installment that begins at the same time—another perfect opportunity to soak in Edmonton’s natural beauty. For those who wish to extend their adventure, Fort Edmonton and Whitemud Park offer the third race on May 3, ensuring you have ample trails to explore. The series continues with another visit to Kinsmen Park on June 7, this time at 10:00 PM, providing a different perspective of the city’s nightscapes. Followed by Forest Heights Park on July 5 and Saskatchewan Drive / Belgravia on August 2, both starting at 6:00 PM. Participants should note that these locations are subject to change without notice. Should Alberta Health Services cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances, no refunds or credits will be issued; however, if unable to attend the Fall Series in 2026, athletes may transfer their registration to the Spring Series in 2027. For those wishing to participate selectively rather than the full series, simply register for each individual event. After completing details for one race and clicking "Submit," select “Register another Participant” to add additional entries seamlessly. Timing for all races is handled by Results Canada Race Management using ChronoTrack tags. Ensure you retain your tag throughout the entire series; replacements will incur a flat fee of $5.00 if lost or damaged. Join this dynamic running community and experience Edmonton's natural wonders in an engaging, community-driven event!

About Edmonton
Learn more about the host city, Edmonton.
Edmonton is the capital city of Alberta. Its metro area is home to 1.2 million people (2025), and is the northernmost city of at least one million people in North America, the fifth-largest city in Canada and the largest Canadian city farther than 200 kilometres (120 mi) from the US border. Edmonton is famous for its beautiful river valley park system, the North Saskatchewan River Valley, which offers over 100 kilometres (62 mi) of recreational trails, wildlife viewing, and city views. The river valley also contains many parks, including Fort Edmonton Park, Canada's largest historical park. If the great outdoors is not what you seek, the city also offers West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping mall in North America. On top of that, Edmonton has a vibrant theatre community, a busy cycle of annual festivals, national sports teams active year-round, and wonderful winter recreational opportunities.
