The Rubber Ducky 5K, 7 Mile, and Half Marathon have been running for their nineteenth year, making it a significant event in the community. Over the years, thousands of participants have joined these races, supporting various charitable causes and scholarships through registration fees. The race not only brings together walkers and runners but also promotes local wildlife conservation by circling Burnaby Lake.
The course venue offers a firm yet slightly soft trail surface that loops around the lake twice—once clockwise for the 7 Mile and Half Marathon and counter-clockwise for the Rubber Ducky races. Participants will start at Burnaby Lake BCR, proceed along the scenic trails of the park, and return to the same location as their finish point.

Logistics wise, registration opens at https://raceroster.com/events/2026/130640/2026-rubber-ducky-5k-7mile-half-marathon. Early bird pricing is available for children 15 and under (CA$15 off), youth aged 16 to 19 (CA$10 off), and seniors 65 years or older (CA$10 off). Additionally, groups of five or more can save CA$5 per participant. Swag bags are included with the regular registration fee for all distances except the Yellow Bib options.
Participants should arrive at Burnaby Lake BCR to pick up their bibs on race day morning. Bring your valid ID and any necessary documentation as required by the event organizers.
