This beloved community event features two thrilling races: the Mini Ghouls' Race for young adventurers, launching at dawn, followed by the main attraction—the full 5K course.
The morning begins with the Mini Ghouls' Race at 8 AM, inviting little ones to run or walk their way through a whimsical path. The primary race then commences simultaneously, offering seasoned runners and newcomers alike an exhilarating challenge amidst the fall foliage.
Swangard Stadium acts as both starting point and finish line for this family-friendly event. Participants will traverse Burnaby's charming streets, navigating slight elevation changes and a series of turns that keep each stride engaging. The route is carefully designed to provide a mix of surfaces, ensuring every runner finds their perfect pace among the vibrant autumn scenery.
Aid stations are thoughtfully placed along the course, offering water and encouragement at key points. On race day, expect temperatures ranging from 7.8°C to 14.5°C with an average feel of 11.2°C, complemented by humidity levels around 85.5%. Despite the slightly humid conditions, runners can anticipate a cool yet comfortable environment.
