2026 Salomon GO Community Race · Cangnan Ancient Pickling Path Trail Race (2026 SALOMON GO野社区赛·苍南挑矾古道越野赛)

On November 8, 2026, runners will gather at the historic site of Wenzhou Fanchang Mine Park in Cangnan County, Zhejiang Province, for the Salomon GO野 Community Race. The race offers two challenging courses: Iron Army (18KM) and Fanyu Path (7KM), each with its unique terrain and scenic beauty.
The Iron Army course spans 17.4 kilometers, climbing a total of 600 meters in elevation over rugged trails that wind through the heart of ancient mining landscapes. Participants will start at 9:00 AM sharp, aiming to complete the challenging route within five hours before the race closes at 2:00 PM.
For those seeking an introduction to trail running or a shorter adventure, the Fanyu Path offers a more manageable option with its 7.01-kilometer course and just over three hundred meters of elevation gain. This group will begin their journey ten minutes after the Iron Army runners at 9:10 AM.
Both routes take runners through historic sites that tell stories of generations past, where ancient stone houses dot the landscape and winding paths lead deep into the forest. Along these trails, participants can expect to hear the whispers of history as they traverse terrains reminiscent of six centuries of mining heritage.
A special treat awaits all competitors: with their race bibs in hand, runners are invited to bring up to three family members on a unique journey through Wenzhou's underground mines aboard an old-fashioned train. Departing from the Fanchang Mine Park’s Forging Furnace Square, this excursion takes visitors directly to the entrance of 312 Horizontal Shaft Tunnel, where they can explore the cool and well-preserved tunnels that offer a glimpse into the region's rich mining history.
