Experience the magic of Christmas morning at the 2026 Santa Shuffle Sudbury: Fun Run & Elf Walk, returning on December 5th to Riverside Park near downtown Sudbury. This beloved annual tradition offers runners and walkers alike a chance to contribute to The Salvation Army's vital work while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Riverside Park provides an engaging route with firm paths through trees and slight elevation changes, framed by iconic landmarks such as the North Range Mountains to the north and the historic downtown district visible from certain course sections. Early morning temperatures hover around -7°C, making for a brisk but manageable run under clear skies, though light snow is expected.
Participants will start at Riverside Park’s main entrance and navigate through well-marked paths, finishing near the community center where they began. Despite no planned aid stations, water is available in nearby facilities if needed. The race features two distances: a 5K Fun Run and a 1K Elf Walk designed for all ages.
Race morning will be filled with community spirit as friends, families, and locals gather to support this cherished event beyond just running or walking. Early registration fees are CA$61.59 per individual; youth (under 18) and seniors (over 65) receive discounts. Group registrations of four or more participants also save money.
Bibs can be picked up on December 4th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same community center, requiring a government-issued ID for verification. Participants should come prepared with their race bib and any other necessary items.
