The 2026 Sneakers & Strays will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM MDT, starting at Buena Vista Dog Park (131 Street Northwest) in Edmonton, AB, Canada. This hybrid event (in‑person and virtual) is a fun‑run where participants can run or walk side‑by‑side with their dogs through Edmonton's River Valley. Distances include a 3 km walk and a 5 km run. Virtual participants can complete their chosen distance anywhere in the world over four days (June 3–6, 2026). All funds raised support hart's mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and re‑home stray and abandoned dogs.

All participants must follow event rules as provided by the organizer. The event runs rain, shine, or smoke (participants should use personal judgment for health). May 9 is the cutoff date to guarantee a T‑shirt size in the swag bag; after that, sizes are subject to availability. Swag bags include a 2026 Sneakers & Strays collector's T‑shirt, a portable dog bowl, buy‑one‑get‑one‑free passes to Glow Edmonton and Rapid Fire Theatre, and gift cards from Daisy's Saloon, Sherlock Holmes Pub, and EZ Antler Chews. Finishing dogs receive a dog‑friendly finisher cookie from The Lucky Mutt.

Prizes for top team fundraisers and top individual fundraisers.
Donation window closes Saturday, June 13, 2026. Tax receipts are available for donations of $20 and above (hart is a registered charity).
Virtual participants can submit their results online and upload race day photos. Selfies with dogs are encouraged.
Post‑race activities include complimentary beverages and snacks, hart merchandise, and sponsor booths.
