2026 Yeongcheon Dam Marathon

On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the vibrant city of Yeongcheon will come alive with the excitement of the Yeongcheon Dam Marathon. This annual race offers runners and families an unforgettable day out at Yeongcheon Dam Park, renowned for its picturesque natural beauty.
The event kicks off early in the morning with a gathering time set for 9 AM. Participants can choose from three distinct courses: a family-friendly 5km Fun Run, a more challenging 10km Course, or the full Half Marathon experience. Each course is designed to cater to different levels of fitness and running aspirations.
Race day promises an invigorating atmosphere with live entertainment, food stalls offering local delicacies, and plenty of activities for spectators to enjoy. All participants receive a finisher's medal and a commemorative T-shirt upon completion, while chip timing ensures accurate records are kept throughout the race.
For those competing in the 10km and Half Marathon categories, there is an added incentive with prize money up for grabs: KRW 300,000 for first place, KRW 200,000 for second, and KRW 100,000 for third. The top five finishers in the 5km Fun Run will receive special local products as a reward.
Groups of twenty or more participants can also benefit from additional support funds up to KRW 300,000, making it an attractive option for team entries and community groups looking to participate together.
