25th Annual Caring Together Teal Ribbon Run/Walk

The Teal Ribbon Run/Walk returns for another year, bringing together survivors, advocates, and caregivers committed to the fight against ovarian cancer. Organized by Caring Together, Inc., this event aims to raise awareness about ovarian cancer while funding vital research aimed at early detection and more effective treatment options.
In 2025 alone, the Run/Walk surpassed its fundraising goal with over $80,000 raised, directly supporting initiatives such as LOCAL research projects at Albany Medical College. The proceeds also fund monthly survivor support groups that cater to both in-person and virtual attendees, ensuring no one feels isolated during their journey.
Educational outreach is a cornerstone of the event's mission, including Survivors Teaching Students programs where nursing students are educated on recognizing signs of ovarian cancer early. This education plays a crucial role in increasing survival rates by promoting earlier diagnosis when treatment outcomes are more favorable.
Participants can look forward to an engaging morning with packet and t-shirt pick-up at American Cancer Society - Hope Club located at 1 Penny Lane, Latham NY 12110 on Saturday, September 12th from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Team captains are encouraged to collect materials for their entire teams during this time.
Registration incentives include guaranteed race shirts in selected sizes when participants register by August 24th at 11:59 p.m., with remaining inventory available on a first-come, first-served basis thereafter. Day-of pick up is possible but not recommended due to limited availability and potential delays.
The event offers two distances for runners of all ages: a 5K run/walk priced at $30 for adults and $10 for children aged 12 & under (discount applied automatically during checkout), as well as a shorter one-mile walk/run option also available for the same pricing structure. Special team awards will be given to both the largest participating group and those raising the most funds.
